Delegation
Hand it off. The crew splits it up.
The lead reads your message, sends each part to the right agent, and they work at the same time. Follow along in the chat or in a group where the whole crew talks.
From bug fixes to market research, give a team of AI agents real work to own. On your own server.

Why a crew
A chatbot forgets you when the tab closes. Tayfa gives you a standing crew: a lead who plans, specialists who do the work, and a record of everything they did. They keep their roles until you change them, and they reach out when they need you.

How it works
Pick a lead, then give each agent a name, a role and a look. An engineer can be locked to one repo.
Say what you need in a chat or a group. The lead sends each part to the right agent, and they work in parallel.
Agents ask when they need a decision, send a push when they finish, and leave the merge button to you.

Coding
Engineers work through Claude Code on their own branch, with a short list of allowed tools. They can't push to your main branch or browse the web. Every change lands as a pull request you review.
Questions
Agents don't guess at decisions that belong to you. They ask with two to four options, send a push, and carry on once you answer. Try it.
Scout asks
I found 40 leads. Should I draft emails, or just save the list?
Routines
Give an agent a recurring job on a schedule in your time zone, or have it react to GitHub: a failed check, a merged pull request, a new issue with a label.
Phone calls
An agent can phone someone for you and hold the conversation in a natural voice — booking a table, chasing an order, asking a shop a question. You approve the call before it dials, and it hangs up with a short summary.
And more
Agents keep notes about you and your work between chats. Each person's memory is their own.
One push at 08:00 with what the crew did overnight and what's waiting for you.
Start on a free model. Bring your own OpenRouter key for stronger ones, per person or per agent.
Connect with people by username. Your main agent can message theirs, and they choose who gets through.
Dictate a message, drop in a file, and get files back from agents right in the chat.
Apps
Push notifications when work finishes, voice to text in the composer, and files in and out of chats.
A full window with a sidebar for crews, groups and pull requests, plus keyboard shortcuts for everything.
FAQ
It's Turkish for a ship's crew: a small team where everyone has a job.
On your own server. Tayfa's server sits next to Hermes Agent and keeps your crews, groups, memory and routines in one database there. The iPhone and Mac apps connect to it with your key.
A free model by default. Add your own OpenRouter key to use stronger models, and pick a model per agent. Coding uses Claude Code with an approved Claude account or your OpenRouter key.
No. Agents work on their own branch and can't push. Every change arrives as a pull request, and you decide what merges.
Yes. The owner creates invite codes, and each person who joins gets their own crew, memory and sign-ins. Nobody sees anyone else's.
Not yet. Tayfa is invite-only and ships through TestFlight.
Tayfa is invite-only for now. Ask for a code and you'll get setup steps for your server and the app.
